Question:
Where did your slogan "Always save face!" come from?
Answer:
The slogan "Always Save Face!" first appeared in Kaliningrad in 2022.
Then, thanks to the high-quality work of a well-coordinated and friendly Team, formed by a collaboration of Kaliningrad kudo elders and the KUDO Laboratory club from Moscow, kudo flourished in this westernmost region of Russia.
Between 2022 and 2023, this Team organized and triumphantly hosted several interregional tournaments with large numbers of participants, as well as two Kaliningrad Region Governor's Cups (the 15th Russian Cup and the International Friendship Cup), which, according to the leadership of the KUDO Federation of Russia at the time, were the best ever in the country and set the bar for excellence for a long time to come.
Hosting such major events tested the Team's mettle with various challenges. It was then, through the vision of image maker Alexandra Medvedeva, that this slogan was born, which has become the Team's motto. In 2024, the Team withdrew from the KUDO Federation of Russia, but the members remain friends.
The International Bujin Shinkudoryu Association, aiming to further develop Azuma Takashi's legacy, relies on Continuity, Kindness, Justice, Openness, Honesty, Conscience, Duty, Honor, and Dignity – the ethical principles that should guide the development of a person as a member of society and as an individual.
The International Bujin Shinkudoryu Association is grateful for the opportunity to implement the slogan in its activities, which most accurately characterizes its life credo:
"Always Save Face!"
Question:
What is the meaning of this slogan?
Answer:
The slogan "Always Save Face!" has several meanings:
• A helmet mask protects the face from cuts and provides a unique opportunity to fight without serious facial injuries.
